38 Philadelphia high school students have participated in the program in its first three years, including 9 students during the 2020-2021 academic year.
Academic Outcomes
The average GPAs for the college credits earned by students during their participation in the program (as of December 2020) are:
Cohort 1 (2018-2019): 3.58
Cohort 2 (2019-2020): 3.50
Cohort 3 (2020-2021): 3.62

Post-Secondary Education Outcomes
100% of TES Program participants from Cohorts 1 & 2 were accepted to college (as of December 2020).
- 96% of TES Program participants from Cohorts 1 & 2 selected to attend a 4-year institution following their high school graduation.
- 100% of TES Program participants from Cohorts 1 & 2 matriculated into college in the fall semester immediately following their program participation year.
96% of TES Program participants from Cohorts 1 & 2 remain continuously enrolled in college to date (as of the end of Fall 2020).
12 TES program alumni from Cohorts 1 & 2 chose to attend Temple University.
6 TES program alumni from Cohorts 1 & 2 are currently students in the College of Education and Human Development at Temple as education majors. An additional 2 students are education majors at other Pennsylvania institutions of higher education (as of December 2020).
TES Participant Savings with Respect to College Costs
387 college credits were earned at Temple by TES Program participants between Fall 2018 and the completion of the Fall 2020 semesters.
This equates to 129 classes accomplished and $259,290.00 saved by participants at Temple’s baseline tuition rate of $670 / credit for part-time in-state students for 2020-2021. On average, as of December 2020, students have realized a savings of $6,824.
